Suzanne Goin's Grilled Taleggio-Walnut Sandwich With Roasted Fall Grapes - WSJ.com

Suzanne Goin's exceptional cookbook- a great gift idea

delicious!

I just added Suzanne Goin's grilled cheese sandwich to my own repertoire of Sunday night suppers. This made the best end of Thanksgiving weekend meal to share with a bottle of Alain Graillot Crozes Hermitage.

In 1998 we lived in West Hollywood when Chef Suzanne Goin opened her first restaurant Lucques. Walking distance from our house, this amazing spot was a staple for us. Suzanne's food is inventive but approachable, flavorful yet subtle, and the restaurant itself is warm, busy, and not your typical L.A. joint, hosting much more of a San Francisco vibe, if you know what I mean. But if you can't make it one of Chef Goin's now four fabulous Los Angeles area restaurants, pick up the Sunday Suppers at Lucques cookbook and try a few recipes at home.

  1. Beautifully written... congratulations to your family on 25 years in business with World Class Wines. Cheers to you all... and look forward to toasting with you when your new door opens. In the meantime, take a quiet pause over the holidays and enjoy a few more clicks of your glasses before you embark on your new beginning. xoxo
